One of the most important religious places in that contain Christian churches is called the Holy Land in Israel. Many historical Christian events were said to have taken place in the Holy Land and important Christian churches are everywhere. There are dozens of Christian churches in the Holy Land. It is not as if there is one Christian church in the world that every Christian is required to join. That does not mean that one has to visit every Christian church in the area. That would be overwhelming. It may be a good idea to narrow it down to a few selections before really exploring the church. A person should never rush the decision to join a church.
